An alumnus and Visiting Senior Lecturer at the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi (KNUST), Mr. Precious Adade Duodu, has been shortlisted for the prestigious Black Healthcare Awards 2026 in the United Kingdom.

A KNUST alumnus and former president of the Department of Language and Communication Sciences at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi has been inducted into two prestigious academic honor societies in the United States.

As a graduate student ranked among the top 10% of his class at West Virginia University, Zakariah earned induction into Kappa Tau Alpha, the national honor society for journalism and mass communication, as well as Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective all-discipline honor society, with chapters at more than 300 colleges and universities across the United States.

The School of Medical Sciences (SMS) at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi (KNUST), has received a donation of One Hundred and Thirty Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢130,000) toward its Alumni Legacy Project from the SMS Class of 2012.

A Ghanaian virtual reality developer and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi alumnus, Mr Edmund Darko, is gaining recognition for his work at the intersection of immersive technology and cultural preservation.

Mr Darko holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Integrated Rural Arts and Industry from KNUST and is currently pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Communication and Media Arts at Ohio University. He is the creator of Reliving Relics, an interactive virtual reality platform that documents and communicates African cultural heritage through experiential storytelling.
