Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) has taken a significant step towards strengthening its alumni network following the constitution of a five-member Electoral Board to oversee the election of the first Global Executives of the University’s Alumni Association.
The announcement was made during the University’s Alumni Homecoming held on 27th March 2026 at the Great Hall of the university. The event brought together alumni from different graduating years, senior university officials, and distinguished guests in a celebration marked by reconnection, collaboration, and renewed commitment to the advancement of the Institution.

The Graduate Students’ Association of Kumasi Technical University (GRASAG- KsTU) has officially sworn in a new set of executives to steer the affairs of the Association for the next administration period, following a prolonged electoral dispute that delayed the Association’s elections and transition process.
The hand-over and swearing-in ceremony was held at the EEE Conference Hall on 18th May 2026 and it marked a significant moment in the Association’s leadership transition and brought together graduate students and members of the outgoing and incoming administrations.
The newly sworn-in executives include Mr Joseph Oppong Boateng as President, Mr John Owusu as Treasurer, Ms Abigail Rubaba Gariba as Women’s Commissioner, Mr Godwin Ngan as Financial Secretary, Mr Isaac Forson as Organising Secretary, and Ms Antionette Bassaw as Secretary.

Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) has organised a capacity-building training programme for Senior Members (Non-Teaching) at the New Great Hall as part of efforts to strengthen administrative efficiency, professional development, and institutional governance within the University.
The training which was organised by the Human Resource Directorate of the University under the auspices of the Vice-Chancellors of Technical Universities – Ghana (VCTU-G), brought together senior administrative and professional staff of KsTU to enhance their knowledge and competencies in university administration and governance.
