*Live life, don't just own it*
It is common now a days to hear people say: 'Its my life so you can't tell me what to do with it .' Of course no one can and no one will also try to do that. But what good is possession if you have no idea how to utilize what you possess.

Today we celebrate Nkrumah, that's perfect. But the real question is will you also be celebrated tomorrow for the life you are living today? If no, then consider your ways.

PAIN IS SWEET

No pain no gain.

As the commander of a cadet group, I make my men chant this mantra anytime I want them to endure pain for quite a long of time.
Yes, no pain no gain; this is one of the basic principles of life, for you cannot reap where you did not sow and even the Bible speaks against it. Have you wondered why an athlete will go through a lot of pain in his previous days training but yet comes back to the tracks to train even harder than he did previously, because no pain no gain. How about a woman at labor; despite the many tears she sheds at the ward, she always loves to go back there, because no pain no gain.

People endure pain not for the love of it, but for the rewards that come after it. Therefore do not look at the pain that comes with a task, rather look at the reward thereof. Problems are opportunities in work clothes. What you must see as tiring, as too much work or as a threat to your comfort is actually an opportunity that has assumed that form to serve as a screen to select and reward the brave.

Excellent people are men and women who toil at night while their fellows lay in bed. You need to sacrifice your comfort if in deed you need a change. You need to have the eye that is able to see tasks as opportunities and not a painful act.

Chant the mantra: no pain no gain and hold on for a little while, you will feel the change yourself. And trust me, you will love it.

in every situation it takes two (2) to win, readiness and preparedness. But most people work on only one side of the coin, readiness. In every action we take or plan to take we need to be ready to enable us take a step. You can't do something you aren't ready to do. But for these actions of ours to yield the needed results, we need to be prepared.
Emmanuel Dei-Tumi said something, he said; it is not about how ready you are to take actions, but how prepared you are for the event. When you get into the tracts as an athlete, it signifies your readiness for the event, but are you prepared?
As a candidate in an exam, yes you might be ready to write the exams, but are you prepared? It is not enough to be ready, you need to be prepared both in mind and resources.
as a creative thinker, as an entrepreneur and a world changer, you need to be prepared before you take any action. it will not only make you feel good about yourself but it will also enable you to expect positive results.

You are where you are today because of the decisions you made yesterday. And where you will be tomorrow depends on your decisions today. Remember, not making a decision is a decision on its own.
We are the product of our decisions. To have the best you need to decide to have it. A ship is forever safe at the harbour but that was not what it was built for, that is to say, nothing great is ever achieved in our comfort zone. The more we risk the more we gain. Bill Cosby said, decide that you want it more than you are afraid of it. Don't allow fear to confine you in your closet. Know that if you don't go for the best, you have no right to complain when the worst comes your way. That was your choice.

We all have names and titles. Your name is what you were given and your tittle is what you've worked for. It is what defines us and makes us recognizable in society. Is yours a good one ?

The mind is the most vital tool of man. Treat it right and it will serve you right.
