Today, one of the most popular shows on Ghana Television, The Breakfast Show, was filmed in the School of Performing Arts. The show, directed by one of our very own alumni Raymond Ablohr felt like a welcome home reunion. Valerie Danso interviewed the Head of the Department of Theatre Arts, Dr. Samuel Benagr about our programs, students and alumni in the industry. She also spoke to Dr. Francis Gbormittah, a lecturer and the Studio Manager of the E. T. S. Drama Studio about the studio's illustrious history. Our students had a blast during the lively discussion about the burning political and social issues of the day.

Sneak peak into the rehearsals of Crisis, a stage production running the week, on the 27th, 28th and 29th of June 2024, at the E.T.S. Drama Studio. Crisis continues the impressive display of our Level 400 directing students creativity and craft. Come see a riot of color, and the beautiful celebration of the human body's movement on stage.

Creativity and daring is our level 400 directing students' hallmark! This month and next, come share in compelling and inspiring theatre by our young talents. Namelessly Faceless starts off this display of creativity and craft by our students, and it runs today and tomorrow, the 21st and 22nd of June 2024 at the E.T.S. Drama Studio at 7 pm each night.

The children of the University of Ghana Basic School were all smiles, as they yesterday watched a fantastic performance of Dilemma Of A Ghost, written by Ama Ata Aidoo, and directed by Ben Quaye, by the Abibigromma Theatre Company. Here are few moments from behind the scenes of this production, which was held at the E. T. S Drama Studio.

Theatre Workshop with Level 100 students. It's a wonderful journey of discovery for them. Here, students discover the challenges and joy of performance, acquire the skills required to put up a stage production, and share in our collective love of storytelling.
