Yesterday, we hosted the fourth annual University of Gibraltar Student Nursing Conference, bringing together nursing students, academics, healthcare professionals, charities, and colleagues from the Isle of Man, Scotland, and Jersey.
Throughout the day, BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing and BSc (Hons) Mental Health Nursing students showcased an impressive range of work, from public health initiatives and long-term condition resources to service improvement projects designed to enhance patient care and healthcare delivery. Their presentations demonstrated not only the knowledge and skills they have developed throughout their studies, but also their commitment to making a positive difference for patients and communities.
We were also delighted to welcome local charities, whose involvement helped strengthen the connection between healthcare, community support, and patient wellbeing.
Congratulations to our student award winners:
π Year 1 β Chelsea-Anne Grech
π Year 2 β Jade Francis
π Year 3 β Louise Bonavia
A particularly touching moment came from our Year 3 students, who presented hampers to the University of Gibraltar Health Sciences team as a token of appreciation for the guidance, support, and encouragement they have received throughout their journey.
Special thanks go to the Gibraltar Health Authority for their support in helping to make the day run so smoothly. Thank you to everyone who attended, presented, supported, and helped make this year's conference such a success. The future of nursing is in capable hands.
