Applications are officially open for the sixth cohort of the UOG Drone Corps! NASA Guam Space Grant and NASA Guam EPSCoR are excited to welcome a new group of students, faculty, and staff to earn their FAA Part 107b remote pilot certification and explore how drones can be used to support our island community!
✅ Open to UOG and GCC students, as well as UOG faculty/staff
✅ Hands-on flight training and immersive knowledge course with
✅ FAA exam fees covered by the program
✅ Opportunities for missions, internships, research, and specialized training throughout the year

UOG Drone Corps helps survey coastal, agricultural damage after Sinlaku

When viewed from above, isolated signs of damage can reveal a broader picture of a storm’s impact.
In the weeks following Super Typhoon Sinlaku, the University of Guam Drone Corps partnered with the Guam Bureau of Statistics & Plans to survey coastal and agricultural sites across Guam using drones. 🗺️ The imagery helps document visible storm impacts and support recovery planning, monitoring, and future decision-making.
