On May 19, 2026, the Queen’s College Chess Club was pleased to receive a generous donation of chess sets from distinguished alumnus Mr. L. M. Ramgopal.

Alumnus Ramgopal, who is a former Queen's College junior and senior chess champion and represented Guyana at the junior level, is also the proud sponsor of QC-OSA's annual Inter-House Chess Tournament. His continued support plays a vital role in fostering strategic thinking and sportsmanship.

We are truly grateful for his contribution and commitment to the club’s growth.
