Hi! This article looks at reducing pollution in the future in China. Click on the link to read the whole article! Here's some vocabulary from the article.

1) ban – “Smoking inside restaurants has been banned for many years in Hong Kong. People have to smoke outside.”

2) pollution – “Pollution is very bad in countries with lots of manufacturing. They use coal and gas to make power but cleaner countries get energy from the sun, wind or water.”

3) ‘a slice of the market’ – “When Apple released the iPhone, the smartphone market grew very quickly. After that, other companies such as Samsung wanted a slice of the market.”

4) hybrid cars – “Hybrid cars use electricity and gas to work. These cars help lower pollution.”

3) abide by the rules – “In school, you have to abide by the rules. If you don’t, you will be punished.”

4) harsh – “I asked a girl out on a date but she said I was too ugly and poor. It was so harsh of her!”
