Eleventh in the world, two years in a row! 🌍🏆

🎉 HKU Business School’s fully upgraded Masters Programmes 2.0 (MSc 2.0) will launch in the 2026-2027 academic year. Featuring greater curricular flexibility, an expanded portfolio of programmes, and enriched global learning experiences, MSc 2.0 aims to equip students with the agility and skills required to thrive in an ever changing business environment.

【📚 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤s: 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐬】
As the core of this upgrade, HKU Business School is introducing Interdisciplinary Tracks to help students transcend the boundaries of a single discipline by selecting courses from other Masters Programmes within the school, tailoring their learning journey around their interests, strengths, and career aspirations. Through interdisciplinary learning, students not only deepen expertise in their chosen field, but also broaden their perspectives, sharpen their ability to address complex, cross disciplinary business challenges, and build a stronger, more competitive foundation for future careers in an increasingly interconnected world.
Taking the Interdisciplinary Track in AI in Business as an example, students who are not enrolled in the Master of Artificial Intelligence in Business programme can still access selected AI focused courses from its curriculum. This allows them to integrate AI knowledge with their primary discipline—enhancing their ability to collaborate across domains and apply AI thinking in real world business contexts.

🔹Curriculum structure: 30 credits (five 6-credit courses) in total, including 12 credits of core courses and 18 credits of elective courses
🔹Eligibility: All HKU Business School Masters students enrolled from the 2026-27 academic year
🔹Tuition: Additional tuition applies, with discounted rates offered for Interdisciplinary Track courses

【🌏 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐲 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞】
Students may undertake a three-month study period at HKU Global Centres in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Barcelona. During this period, they may undertake locally tailored courses or Capstone Projects in collaboration with local enterprises. Whilst attending lectures by industry leaders and visiting companies on site, they will gain cross-cultural experience and support with local internships.

The school has expanded Capstone Projects to 11 Masters Programmes, encouraging more students to work with organisations and apply classroom learning to real life scenarios. Nearly 100 projects are currently underway, with past partners including HSBC, Tencent and Microsoft.

HKU Business School Masters Programmes will offer a two-year standard curriculum structure, with tuition fees remaining unchanged, providing students with more time for academic exploration and career preparation.
In the second year, students may flexibly choose to pursue an interdisciplinary track, study and undertake internships at HKU’s Global Centres, join in-depth career training and activities to have a better planning for their career path.
Students may opt to complete the entire programme within one year, tailoring their study pace accordingly. The two-year structure will enable students to immerse fully in campus life, forge closer ties with faculty and peers, and enjoy a more fulfilling study experience.

As this cohort of the HKU Business School Master’s programme approaches their final chapter, our Student Enrichment team hosted an exclusive celebratory event at Hong Kong Disneyland on 15 May. This special day was organised to recognise the outstanding participation and performance of our House Committee members, as well as to honour winners of the Annual Virtual House Awards. Filled with excitement, everyone gathered in front of the Castle of Magical Dreams to kick off this spectacular adventure.

【🎠 Exclusive Tour: The World of Frozen and Fantasyland】
Students were guided on an exclusive tour through the World of Frozen and Fantasyland, where they got to explore Elsa and Anna’s Playhouse in the Woods and fully immerse themselves in the Park’s enchanting atmosphere. The VIP experience made the students feel a sense of childlike joy as they posed for photos, enjoyed rides across the park, and indulged in a special breakfast at Tomorrowland’s Starliner Diner.

Once the theatre was filled and the opening performance concluded, the awards ceremony officially began. Prof. Xin WANG, Associate Dean (Taught Postgraduate), delivered the opening remarks, stating, “As part of our Graduation Week celebrations, this event brings our cohort together to honour our strong bonds and shared achievements. Today, we celebrate not only accomplishments, but also the connection and collaboration that define our community.”

“StellaLou's Wonderful Wishes Ballet” was the much-anticipated highlight of the day, co-presented by the Hong Kong Ballet and Hong Kong Disneyland. Led by StellaLou and her friends, students were transported into a heartwarming, whimsical fairytale that celebrated ambition and courage.
