What an incredible, high-energy final day of the 2025-2026 school year! Today’s End of Year assembly was the ultimate celebration of community pride, growth, and milestone achievements as we wrapped up another fantastic chapter together. 🏫✨
Honouring Major Student Milestones:
Our Grade 5 and Grade 10 students took to the stage to receive their PYP and MYP completion certificates! 📜👏🏽 For our Grade 5 learners, this marks a proud breakthrough moment as they move up to Secondary School next year. Celebrating Our HKA Pillars:
Our community spirit shone brightest as our Primary and Secondary School Principals took the stage to express our deepest gratitude to our dedicated faculty and staff. 💖 In a truly historic moment of loyalty and care, we proudly honoured Stephanie and Joanne for an extraordinary 25 years of dedicated service to HKA!
The cheers kept coming as we celebrated our incredible staff members marking their 5, 10, 15, and 20-year service milestones. Thank you all for being the heartbeat of our school! 🎁💐

Our Grade 3 students have been turning their latest movement programme into an absolute masterclass of creativity, control, and confidence! 🤸🏿♂️ They have been creating their own small-group movement routines. Each group chose a song, created a beginning pose and ending pose, planned their moves to counts of eight, and worked together to make sure everyone contributed ideas and movements.🎵🔢
Inspiring the Next Generation:
The absolute highlight of the unit was when our Grade 3 students showcased their finished routines to a very special audience: our Pre-K and Kindergarten learners! 👶🏽👀
Our Grade 3s stepped up as proud role models, demonstrating incredible balance, timing, and teamwork to their captivated younger peers. The performance was filled with wide-eyed wonder, massive smiles.
We are so proud of how our young Dragonflies brought their creative thinkings to life and shared the joy of movement with our school community! 🌟

This week, our Grade 8 science class dived deeper into our forensic science unit with a hands-on investigation into fingerprinting🕵️♂️🔍. Moving from theory to practice, students learned how to dust for prints, lift them using specialised tape, and analyse the unique ridge patterns that make every individual distinct. Seeing our own loops, whorls and arches come to life on paper brought the science to life and was a fascinating and memorable exploration into the world of crime scene investigation.

Our Grade 11 students recently took their learning outside the classroom with an educational field trip to the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) 🏦. As the central bank of Hong Kong, the HKMA provides vital services to the local economy, most notably approving money production and directing monetary policy.
During the visit, students explored the mechanics behind discount lending rates, open market operations of bonds, and reserve requirements for commercial banks. These responsibilities form a central part of the Macroeconomics syllabus within the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), providing our learners with a real experience of how central banks operate in practice.
Beyond the textbook, this hands-on experience challenged our students to apply innovation and analytical thinking to real-world scenarios, whilst deepening their understanding of global citizenship 🌍 as they examined how local monetary decisions influence the wider global economy. A huge thank you to the 香港金融管理局 Hong Kong Monetary Authority for hosting our Grade 11 students and providing such an enriching perspective on global economics! 📊

📦 Delivery Week is Here: After weeks of hard work, students are taking ownership of the final phase by managing delivery logistics.
A big thank you to everyone who took part in and supported the G10 MYP Design Community Project! We truly appreciate your feedback and the authentic design experiences you provided for our students along the way. ❤️
