因此，一個願意接納嘗試與過程的暑期學習環境，其實十分重要。

當老師願意引導，而不是急於糾正；

當孩子感受到被理解，而不是被比較；

他們才會慢慢建立真正的自信。

英文能力，從來不只是答對多少題。

更重要的，是孩子是否願意相信自己能夠繼續進步。

當他們看見錯誤、感到困難，或發現別人似乎做得更好時，很容易認為自己做不到。但自信從來不是一開始就存在的特質，而是在一次次願意嘗試的過程中慢慢累積。

練習的意義，不是為了完美，而是讓孩子透過經驗，看見自己的進步與可能。當孩子知道自己可以犯錯、可以重來、可以慢慢學習，他們便更有勇氣繼續向前。

I have been absolutely blown away by the wonderful messages from parents as our Year 11 students reach the end of a busy GCSE exam season.

I always struggle with posts like this because talking about myself never comes naturally. However, I also think it is important to share what parents say about the impact that the right support, encouragement and teaching can have on a young person's confidence and progress.

Many of these students have worked directly with me over the past year, others have been supported by our wonderful team of experienced Mud Pies tutors. Together, we have had the privilege of helping them navigate one of the most important years of their education.

A few comments that have really touched me:

While academic progress is always important, the comments that mean the most to me are often the ones about confidence, resilience and self-belief.

GCSEs are about so much more than grades. They are about helping young people realise what they are capable of achieving and giving them the tools and confidence to succeed.

At Mud Pies, we are incredibly proud of all our students and grateful to the families who place their trust in us. Personally, it has been a privilege to support this year's Year 11 students, and I could not be prouder of what they have achieved.

牠只是希望被了解，並透過時間建立關係。

這個提醒對父母尤其重要。孩子的成長，很少來自某一個關鍵時刻。更多時候，它來自每天重複出現的陪伴：一起閱讀的一頁書、一段放學路上的對話、一句已經說過很多次的鼓勵。

這些事情看來平凡，因此容易被忽略。但正是這些穩定而持續的時刻，慢慢建立了孩子對世界的信任，以及對自己的信心。

當孩子感到安全，他們便更願意嘗試；當孩子知道失敗並不可怕，他們便更願意成長。

Today marks the end of GCSE English Language exams, and I wanted to take a moment to say how incredibly proud I am of all our Year 11 students, both in Hong Kong and the U.K.

Over the past months (and for some, years), we have watched you work hard, tackle challenges, push through moments of self-doubt, and develop not only your English skills but also your resilience and confidence. Success in English is never just about learning techniques and quotations; it is about learning to think, communicate, and believe in your own abilities.

Thank you for your commitment, your humour, your determination, and for allowing us to be part of your journey. It has been a privilege to work with every one of you.

For those of you with exams still to come, keep going. You are on the final stretch now. Trust yourselves, stay focused, and give each remaining paper your very best effort.

And when it is all over, enjoy every minute of your summer. You have earned it. Rest, celebrate, make memories, and look forward to the exciting opportunities that lie ahead.

Good luck, Y11 Class of 2026. Whatever your results, remember that you are far more than a set of grades, and I have every confidence that you have bright futures ahead of you.
