CityU CS Mbot

Some primary school students who have participated in the 「仁濟尖子創意培訓課程」came to visit us at CityU on Saturday 19 November 2016. Dr. Howard Leung has demonstrated how he designed his course to make use of mBot to encourage students to explore programming in order to deliver a Discovery Enriched Curriculum (DEC).

On 12 November 2016 students from 4 local secondary schools joined the 4th Discovery & Innovation Debating Challenge held at CityU. They have visited our DEC labs and we have shown the students how we use mBots to teach programming to our students. On Week 10 of Semester A, 2016/17, our students had their second lab with the mBots. Students write programs to control mBot to avoid obstacles and follow lines

On Week 8-9 of Semester A, 2016/17, our students had their first lab with the mBots. Students write programs to set different colors for the LEDs and control the movements of the mBots.

Yesterday 4 students taking CS1102 came to the CS Lab to assemble mBots while the student helpers were working on the expansion packs. All the basic mBots have been assembled after this last session.

8 students taking CS1102 came to help out assembling the mBots this afternoon in the CS Lab.

Our helpers are assembling and testing the mBot!
