The summer vacation is about to end and school starts in less than a month! In general, schools in Hong Kong begin a new academic year on the first week of September. In Spanish speaking countries, for example, Mexican schools start their term before September; and in Spain, school usually starts in the second week of September.

Fun Fact: The new school year starts in March for countries in the Southern Hemisphere, e.g. Argentina and Chile.

Calendario Escolar 2019: las clases comienzan el 6 de marzo | abc.gob.ar La Dirección General de Cultura y Educación estableció que en 2019 las clases comenzarán el 6 de marzo, en todos los niveles y modalidades. En los Centros Educativos Complementarios y en los Centros de Educación Física, las actividades iniciarán el 1 de marzo.

除了剛過了沒久的聖佛明節 (San Fermín)，西班牙還有其他跟斗牛有關的節日。比如說每年七月尾於巴斯克自治區舉行的長袍節(Día del Blusa)， 人們會在節慶當日穿上傳統跑牛時穿的長袍遊行，而在街上伴隨著市民整天的有銀樂隊所奏的樂曲，更有檔攤販賣著農產品及禽畜，其中買蒜頭便是個有趣的傳統。此外，當天更會有當地傳統民間運動的比賽，好像是迴力球，拔河，舉重，用麻繩把重物拉高，滾木酒桶等。人們亦會比試誰家的驢子背重物的能力比較強，當然還不少得鬥牛的環節。

La fiesta de San Fermin 係西班牙其中一個好出名同重要的慶祝活動。節日對西班牙當地的文化，經濟發展和宗教也十分重要。在節日當中，會有很多牛牛在大街小巷中跑來跑去，也有很多鬥牛活動和不同派對活動。原來以前牛牛在街上跑目的在於將牛牛由山區帶到競技場。節日是要紀念Saint Fermin，因此節日當中也有一個到San Lorenzo 教堂的巡遊活動, 也有一個重要的儀式以紀念San Fermin. 除了La fiesta de San Fermin 之外，西班牙還有很多很精彩和歷史悠久的文化節目和不同的歷史文物。如果你對西班牙的文化有興趣, 不妨趁今個暑假得閒參加一下我地搞的Spain Study Tour, 好好利用暑假空閒時間充實自己。有興趣不妨來我們公司了解詳情!!

喺香港就成日有賽馬睇啦，但你又知唔知原來喺西班牙都有一個屬於馬嘅節日呢？！🧐

每年五月喺Cádiz都會慶祝Feria de Jerez，亦都叫做Feria del Caballo（Horse Fair），係其中一個喺西班牙最重要的節日黎架！呢個節日源於中世紀，當時農民喺市集到買賣馬匹，愈純種既馬就賣得愈高價💰💰💰。除此之外，佢地通常會喺呢一日飲酒慶祝買到一匹心水嘅馬返屋企。（🤭西班牙人又點會唔飲酒呢？🍻🍻）

今時今日，喺Feria de Jerez，你可以欣賞到好大型嘅馬匹巡遊，當然唔少得仲有最精彩嘅馬術表演同拍賣啦。（呢舖真係馬，全部都係馬🏇！）而當地人都會盛裝打扮，著住flamenco-style喺衫喺大街小巷跳舞💃，場面非常熱鬧。有機會去Cádiz，記得去睇下啦～
