Certificates of Participation. Those who attain Pass in assessments will be awarded Certificates of Completion.

To obtain Russian Ballet Association Teacher's
Certificate, students will have to enrol in a Practical Teaching Assessment.

Ivy started her professional ballet training at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) in 1989. In 1993, Ivy graduated as an honorary student with Highest Distinction in her class, and she was awarded the Overseas Scholarship by Hong Kong Jockey Club Music and Dance Fund. She was appointed as Associate Executive Director of the Kirov Academy of Ballet Washington DC.
 
She began her career as a professional dancer in the Universal Ballet Company of Korea, Ontario Ballet Theater and the Hong Kong Ballet. She worked with various famous ballet artists: Galina Kekisheva, Roy Tobias, Stephen Jefferies, Wayne Eagling, Galina Ulanova etc. She was also awarded the Favorite Dancer Award thrice by the Friends of Hong Kong Ballet. She has been invited as a ballet teacher and choreographer internationally.

In 2002, she founded her own school, Ivy Chung School of Ballet and Ivy’s Ballet Company in Hong Kong. Her productions were invited to perform at the "Hong Kong Original Dance Works Spectacle" of 2010 Hong Kong Dance Festival, the Hong Kong Ballet Group's "Young Ballet Stars Gala Performance", and the Hong Kong Dance Expo 2011. She also obtained the Registered Teacher Status of the Royal Academy of Dance and The Commonwealth Society Teachers of Dancing .She also a mentor of the Certificate of Classical Ballet Teaching Studies. She has served on the jury for many ballet competitions, National Ballet Competition of Taiwan and Malaysia Grand Prix etc.
 
Ivy founded Canaan Dance in 2014, which is an international dance education organization. Under the direction of Ivy, Canaan Dance organizes workshops, auditions and international ballet competition to nurture young dancers in Asia, and provide them with scholarships and opportunities to study professionally abroad.

*Ballet teaches us what the beauty of life is. Ballet teaches us how to express emotion and connect others. Ballet teaches us to conquer ourself without trampling on others.*

Ballet brings us to experience loss , grief, and heartbreak. But something so beautiful must reside in us, something that keeps us going when everything else is over.

Ballet is the language that brings people together, doesn’t matter the Vaganova method is origin from Russia.

Why Did We Choose to study this Diploma Certificate ✔️

The Diploma certificate is recognized by Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida, a Professional Ballet Company for many years, which means it certifies the student achieves a certain standard internationally in Ballet (at their age). Often when students apply scholarship in school, they do not solely look at their academic performance, the certification and engagement in co-curricular/activities outside of the school are important too. This certificate is good as it is international recognition. This is an achievement for them, which means they have passed in this course and most importantly they have the knowledge.

Besides, when we don't look at the certificate, the course itself is beneficial for them as they are able to learn new things, gain knowledge and more exposure, which we think it is important especially when the pandemic makes everything behind. However, also because of this "new norm" we are able to learn anytime at anywhere, and therefore we highly recommend our students to join this course. Despite the pandemic, we need to keep our spirit going ❤️

The Grand Ballet emphasizes the classical ballet technique based upon the Russian tradition of training called the Vaganova Method; this method has produced many of the world’s finest dancers.

The Grand Ballet 在傳統俄羅斯瓦崗諾娃學派的基礎上更強調古典芭蕾技術；這種學派已經在世界各國培養出來了一大批傑出的芭蕾舞者。

The Vaganova training system is designed to involve the whole body in every movement, with equal attention paid to the upper body, legs and feet. This approach increases consciousness of the body, thus creating a harmony of movement and greater expressive range. The curriculum brings out the best in every student, creating a well rounded dancer.

瓦崗諾娃教學體系構建重點是對每個動作要求上身與手足的配合有平等專注力，這將讓自己對身體有更加瞭解的意識。因此需要練習對身體協調和舞蹈表現能力。這項課程為所有學員帶來最好以及最全方面的學習
