Our team had the privilege of attending the HKGCC 165th Anniversary Ball. Along with 700 other distinguished guests including Chief Executive John KC Lee and Chairman Agnes Chan, BBS., we celebrated the Chamber’s incredible milestone of championing Hong Kong businesses since 1861.
Echoing Chairman Agnes Chan’s kickoff speech, the celebration is not only about looking back, but looking ahead. We put this sentiment into practice with our design for the Chamber’s new space, where heritage is honoured and new opportunities are made possible with the new layout and Member’s Lounge 1861.

Sustainability shouldn’t feel complicated or like a compromise. We prioritise responsible materials such as recycled flooring, FSC‑certified timber, low‑VOC finishes and locally made elements, so spaces are healthier to work in and lighter on the planet. The finish remains refined and timeless, and allows users to perform at their best.

Too many workplaces still keep the best natural light source for a few enclosed offices. We flip that model by moving enclosed rooms towards the core and opening the perimeter with glazed partitions and collaborative zones. More people enjoy natural light and views, which supports comfort, productivity and well‑being, while aligning with recognised standards such as WELL and LEED.

Congratulations to Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce 香港總商會 on 165 years. It’s our honour to be design lead on a renovation that celebrates the Chamber’s legacy while shaping a future‑ready, hospitality‑led experience. In close collaboration with the Chamber, we delivered a modernised front of house and Member’s Lounge 1861—flexible, technology‑enabled and designed to support revenue‑generating activities through events and private hire.

Framing open water views across Victoria Harbour, the waiting areas offer a calm, cordial pause before client consultations. Plush carpets and seating invite unhurried conversation, serving Standard Chartered’s clients with comfort and care.

A marble counter with metallic accents and a subtle, flush floor light sets a refined stage for in‑house tea service, while rich timber and green stone detailing anchor the lounge in Hong Kong’s cultural context. Designed for quiet conversation and effortless service, it’s a warm, concierge‑led touchpoint that elevates every visit.
