Dragons spotted in Chicago! Class of 2008 Alumni Han Sang Kim (right) and Ivan Halim celebrated decades of friendship as they reconnected in the Windy City, where Han Sang currently lives, and Ivan was attending the American Dental Association Annual Session. No matter how far Dragons roam, it’s always inspiring to see those JIS roots bring them back together!

Graduation day for the Class of 2026 is on the horizon, and we’re sure many of you still remember the day you walked across the stage to receive your diplomas, dressed proudly in your Dragon-blue robe and cap. But did you know that JIS’s graduation garb wasn’t always this color? Once upon a time, the Senior class would be decked out in gold for their commencement ceremony! Here’s a rare shot of graduating students in 1980/1981 wearing their gold robes and caps to mark the final day of their High School journeys.
