Learning history becomes more meaningful when children can see the traces of the past firsthand

Today, the students explored and learned about history at Museum Mpu Purwa, where they discovered many ancient inscriptions and historical relics from old kingdoms. Each artifact holds valuable stories about past civilizations and the rich cultural heritage of Indonesia.

Through this experience, the students did not only learn history from books, but also witnessed real evidence of the nation’s journey, helping them grow their curiosity and appreciation for Indonesia’s cultural legacy.

My Little Island School × Qi Hua Primary School Singapore
Immersion Study Programme 🇮🇩🇸🇬

Our students had an enriching opportunity to experience school life at Qi Hua Primary School, Singapore through a meaningful immersion study programme. Throughout the programme, students participated in sit-in classes, experienced Co-Curricular Activities (CCA), and interacted closely with their Singaporean buddies and teachers.

The programme also provided a valuable platform for cultural exchange, where our students proudly presented about Malang City and performed Angklung for their new friends in Singapore. It was a memorable experience that encouraged confidence, communication, and cross-cultural understanding.

Beyond academics, the immersion study programme helped students to:
✨ develop independence and adaptability
✨ strengthen communication and social skills
✨ build global awareness and cultural appreciation
✨ improve confidence in using English in real-life situations
✨ foster friendships and collaborative learning experiences

One thing that stuck with us most from today’s visit to the temple: service. We learned that serving others isn’t about who’s superior, but about humility and selfless sincerity.

Seeing how the temple administrators serve the congregation and guests with such serenity is a life lesson not learned in the classroom. Service is the highest form of love. ❤️
