The Children's House - Abbeyleix

A big day for our senior montessori group 📚

We had a wonderful visit to Abbeyleix library, where children enjoyed a story reading.
Adventure didnt stop there as we made the most of the beautiful sunshine with a trip to the playground followed by well deserved ice cream 🍦

Something very exciting is happening soon!
Just like every year, we are hatching chicken eggs as part of our learning about the chick life cycle. After 21 days the eggs will hatch and the children will get to meet their own chicks 🐣
Once they have had a lot of cuddles and care, the chicks will move on to a local family’s garden to continue growing.

So much joy in the Montessori room at this time!

Gentle pets! 💛 such a precious moment…

By far the best day of the year - when farm animals come to visit! 🐮🐑
Today the children had a great experience meeting and feeding four-day-old lambs with their mammy and even some one-day-old calves. There were plenty of gentle rubs and lots of giggles 💛
Once again, a huge thank you to our amazing creche daddies/local farmers for taking time out of such a busy season to make this day so special for the children 🤩
