Our Sponsored Walk fundraiser took place yesterday with students and staff taking part in a 5km walk.

A big thank you to all the students who returned their sponsorship cards and fundraising money – your effort and support is really appreciated💙

Congratulations to 2nd Year student Olivia Brady, who won the Sponsorship Card Prize Voucher for her fantastic fundraising efforts and was presented with her prize by Ms Shanley 👏

The funds raised will go towards supporting sporting activities within the school.⚽🏀

Thank you to Mr Wallace, Ms Shanley and Ms Nolan for organising the enjoyable end of year fundraiser. 👏

🇩🇰 🇮🇹 🇪🇸 Farewell to our International Students 🇫🇷 🇩🇪 🇧🇪
Our international students have come to the end of their year with us. Since September, they’ve been a big part of school life with each student bringing something different and special to our community. It’s been great getting to know them all.

A big thank you and farewell to our students from Denmark, Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Belgium. We’d also like to thank their host families, InterStudies Ireland and SLS Ireland for their support and their 5th Year Head Ms McGarrity for looking after the students throughout the year.

We wish them all the very best as they continue their studies back home. We hope they leave with great memories and improved English from their time with us.

🌟 Rising Star for Term 3
Our Wellbeing Team continues to celebrate the positive contributions made by students through the Rising Star of Templemichael Award. Each term, students and teachers nominate one student from each year group who have demonstrated the qualities worthy of this award. The standard of nominations this term was exceptionally high, reflecting the many positive role models within our school community.
This term we are delighted to recognise students who have made a meaningful impact on school life through their attitude, kindness, effort, and commitment.
Congratulations to Abdul Manan (5th yr), Sasha Donoghue (3rd yr), Logan Mulvihill (2nd yr) and Nathan Mc Keever (1st yr) who were presented with their prizes by our HSCL Linda recently

🖼️🎨5th yr Art Trip
Our 5th Year Art students enjoyed a trip to Dublin last Thursday, 14th May, where they visited the . It was a great opportunity to experience some amazing artwork up close and gain inspiration for their own work. A big thank you to Ms McHugh, Ms Metlova and Mr Egan for accompanying the group. 🎨

🏆✨ Junior Cycle Student Of The Year Awards 2026 ✨🏆
We were also delighted to present our Trophy Awards as part of our recent End of Year Award celebrations:

🏆 🏆 JCSP Students of the Year 2026 (Joint Winners): Áine Gray & Mathew Rowe who were presented with their trophies by guest presenter Christiana Ogungbe (LC2024), alongside Mr Hanley (Programmes Coordinator), Ms Doorley (Year Head), and Mr Wallace (Deputy Principal).

🏆 Junior Sportsperson of the Year 2026: Daniel Jarema who was presented with his award by Christiana, Mr Flood (PE Teacher) and Mr Wallace (Deputy Principal).

These awards recognise students who have consistently shown commitment, positivity, and excellence throughout their three years in Junior Cycle.

👏🌟 Group Awards Recognition 🌟👏
We were also delighted to recognise a number of group achievements at our End of Year Awards. From Classroom Participation to our 2nd Year boys’ basketball team’s success in the Midlands D Plate competition these awards highlight school spirit, commitment and teamwork.
We also celebrated our students’ involvement in Green Schools, the Longford Library Calendar Art winners, and participation in LWETB All-Stars Event 🎨🌍
A special mention to our international students who have been part of our school community throughout the year. We thank them for the richness they brought to our school life and wish them safe travels as they return home this week ✈️💙
