Grinds. The word we use to describe exam preparation assisted by a tutor.

The word comes from ‘Nose to the grindstone’ a saying suggesting hard work, relentless, focused…and painful!

Grinds shouldn’t be associated with pain.

They should be about building confidence and performance, and about life skills in thinking and communicating. They should be enjoyable and offer value for money.

What are your thoughts on ‘grinds’?
