For Seachtain na Gaeilge all the classes made a Leabhar Gaeilge. The children put a lot of effort into designing and writing their books. They did an amazing job and should be so proud of themselves.
Here are some photos today from Senior Infants, 1st class and 3rd and 4th.

Second Class were super scientists this week. We put a ball of plasticine in water and it sank. Our task was to somehow make it float. After experimenting with various shapes we discovered increasing the surface area by rolling the plasticine helped, while also bending the sides upwards. This is the same idea used to make boats. Once we were able to do this, we tested ourselves even more to see how many counters our "boats" could hold before sinking. The record was 77!
