Oughterard - General Discussion Board GRETB Further Education and Training Centre Oughterard

Today we say goodbye to our Year 2 Auctioneering & Property apprentices. This marks the end of the academic year of the two year apprenticeship programme. The class will graduate with a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Auctioneering & Property Services.
Congratulations to Michelle Mulhall who received the Exceptional Contribution Award and to David O’Reilly who received the Rising Star Award. Sincere thanks also to their tutors Mary Henry and Sabina Sheppard, who got awards of their own from the apprentices - most patient tutor!
We wish all the class the best of luck as they continue on their career in the Property Industry and we look forward to our paths crossing again.

Our Commis Chef Apprentices have had a great week in Finland on an Erasmus Trip! The apprentices got the opportunity to learn with their peers in the Perho Culinary, Business and Tourism School based in Helsinki. A really exciting part of the experience was the visit to the Perho Green City Garden located on campus which offered the students a hands on opportunity to learn about sustainable food systems and the importance of strengthening the links between agriculture and gastronomy. Overall it has been an amazing learning experience!
