π΅ Massive Congratulations to Coach Bohdan on Achieving His Jiu-jitsu Blue Belt! π΅
Today is a very special day for our academy as we celebrate Coach Bohdan receiving his Blue Belt.
For many people, a blue belt is just a belt. For those who understand Jiu-Jitsu, it represents years of hard work, consistency, sacrifice, setbacks, victories, injuries, doubts, and the determination to keep showing up when nobody is watching.
What makes Bohdan's achievement even more remarkable is the journey he has taken to get here.
Bohdan has built everything through his own effort. He didn't have the luxury of having parents driving him to training, paying for competitions, organising opportunities, or clearing the path for him. Every step forward has come through his own determination, discipline, and willingness to work harder than most people are prepared to.
He left his home country, adapted to a new life, overcame challenges that many people will never fully understand, and still found a way to pursue excellence in martial arts. Along the way he has represented the academy with pride, competed fearlessly, coached our members, inspired our younger athletes, and become a role model for what resilience looks like.
Whether it's on the mats, in competition, in the wrestling room, in MMA training, or helping others improve, Bohdan has always led from the front. He never asks others to do something he isn't willing to do himself.
His recent performances in grappling, wrestling, and MMA preparation have shown exactly the kind of athlete and coach he is becoming. More importantly, his character has shown exactly the kind of man he is becoming.
A blue belt is not the destination. It's a sign that the journey has truly begun.
We are incredibly proud to call him one of our coaches, proud to have him representing our academy, and excited to see what the future holds for him.
The best part is that this is only the beginning.
Congratulations Coach Bohdan. This belt is well earned and nobody can ever take away the work that went into it.

Absolutely proud of the team today what a group of young warriors! π₯
Incredible performances across the board. Tough matches all day, with several that could have gone either way. Some stepped up against bigger and more experienced opponents and showed serious heart, while others stayed calm under pressure and delivered dominant performances when it mattered most π
Not every decision went our way, but the effort, skill, and composure on display were undeniable. And a massive congratulations to our gold medal performance β excellent wrestling and control from start to finish π₯
Big shoutout as well to our teens who represented the club β outstanding performances and great maturity shown throughout.
Win or lose, this is what itβs about β showing up, stepping in, and growing every time. Proud coach today. OSS!

Another great Combatives class this Tuesday.
Well done to everyone who showed up and put the work in again β consistency is everything.
This week we focused on the body fold takedown and the inside trip, building confidence in closing the distance and controlling the fight.
See you all next Tuesday at 7PM.

Massive performance from the team today taking 3rd Place at the Kilkenny Grappling League π₯
Some very hard-fought matches across the board. There were a few tears, plenty of cheers, but most importantly every single one of our Juniors carried themselves with real grace and composure both on and off the mats.
Thatβs what itβs about.
Proud of every one of you π
Big thank you to the organisers for a well-run event π
