🌿🌸 Well done and congratulations! 🌸🌿
A huge congratulations to the Members of Bagenalstown Community Garden on the honour of showcasing their garden at the prestigious Bord Bia Bloom Festival in the Phoenix Park this weekend. This is a fantastic achievement and a true recognition of the dedication, hard work, and incredible community spirit behind the project.
The garden, “A Landscape of Transition,” beautifully captures the essence of the local landscape, featuring the majestic backdrop of Mount Leinster, alongside a rich variety of native plants and flowers. It also highlights local heritage with the striking Carlow granite fence and a powerful sculpture of Ireland’s last wolf, said to have been killed on Mount Leinster in 1786.
At Community Education Carlow, we have been delighted to support Bagenalstown Community Garden through funding over the years, and it is wonderful to see the continued growth and success of the project reflected on a national stage such as Bloom.
If you’re visiting Bloom this weekend, be sure to stop by and take in this unique and meaningful display — a real credit to Bagenalstown Community Garden and all involved! 🌼👏
