As part of the Professor Fluffy Programme, our 5th Class pupils enjoyed a memorable visit to the University College Cork campus a few weeks back. ❤️
The day included a special graduation ceremony celebrating their participation in the programme, as well as a guided tour of the university grounds and facilities. The visit gave pupils the opportunity to experience life on a university campus, learn about student life, and explore the many opportunities that higher education can offer. It was an inspiring and enjoyable day that encouraged curiosity, confidence, and ambition for the future. 🎓🎓

The 5th Class pupils enjoyed an exciting and action-packed school tour to West Cork Secret, where they took part in a variety of outdoor challenges, team-building activities and an opportunity to brave the famous water slide. The tour provided a wonderful opportunity for pupils to build friendships, develop confidence, and enjoy a day outside the classroom. It was a memorable day filled with laughter, adventure, and lasting memories for everyone (but not so much for wheover had to wash the lads gear after)!! 🙈🙈

We are so happy our neighbours got to see this this morning, as did our Juniors, Seniors, First and Sixth Class. Our staff also got to experience a Sound Bath and everyone really enjoyed and felt the benefits at this crazy time of the year. Another example of just how lucky we are to have a staff full of wonderful talents. Thank you Ms. O’Riordan, we are so lucky to have you 🪘🎼☺️

The talented 5th class pupils have just completed CLOuD (Climate, Literacy, Outreach, Inclusion, and Diversity)—a project by Education for Sustainability, funded by Research Ireland under the Discover Programme. CLOuD’s aim is to deliver climate literacy and STEM engagement to marginalised communities across Ireland.
You can see some of their climate actions expressed through a vibrant and educational art display in Hollyhill Library, the children's section from the 28th of May until the end of June.

A huge thank you to the CorkCity Hospitals Children's Club for their very generous donation of books to our school.
We are delighted to receive this wonderful gift, which will help to spread the joy of reading among our pupils. Every new book opens the door to imagination, adventure and discovery, and we know these books will be enjoyed by many children for years to come.
The Hospital Children's Club is a truly worthwhile charity that works tirelessly to support children and young people going through some challenging times. Our school is proud to support their efforts and deeply appreciates their kindness and generosity.
Thank you once again for helping us nurture a love of reading in our school community. 📖❤️
On Monday, June 1st, CorkCity Hospital Children's Club are running "Lap the Lough" again. They will attempt to surround Cork City’s favourite walkway with as many €1 and €2 coins as possible, in a bid to raise more money. It would be a lovely occasion to be part of if anyone is looking for something to do on the bank holiday Monday.
