Hard to believe it's nearly a week since we "rocked the block" at Carnegie Courtyard in Cork City Libraries as part of our 2026 Cruinniú na nÓg celebrations.
From start to finish, it was an incredible day - from the on-foot shenanigans of the The Kabin Studio Cork's 'Rap A Mile', which pumped & pomped it's way from Grande Parade to the Coal Quay and back again; to the stellar lineup of acts that graced the stage at Carnegie Courtyard - we can safely say, Rock the Block 2026 was a roaring success!
We had rock, we had pop, we had trad, we had rap, we had brass & wind, we had soul and hip hop, we had spoken word magic! What an awesome collection of young musicians we had braving the stage and showing us how to shine, how to share the gift of music, how to express yourself in confidence, how to spread joy.
Needless to say, we are all still buzzing!

It's that time of year again folks! is nearly upon us - Saturday 6th June 2026 - save the date!
We are beyond thrilled to be heralding the return of the "Rock the Block" and this year we will be taking up residence in Cork City Libraries Carnegie Courtyard (just off Tuckey Street), in the city centre.
Expect thrills, fills & maybe some frills! We have a wide range of amazing acts to take to the stage throughout the day, with performances kicking off from 1pm.

Before our on-stage shenanigans commence, we will be hitting the streets with our friends from the The Kabin Studio Cork for an iconic 'Rap-A-Mile', which will leave the library at 11.30am and take off, in parade, around the city streets! Always a crowd pleaser, you can be sure they'll light your "Spark"!
As always, we are so grateful to Cork City Library, to Cork Arts and Creative Ireland for bringing this youth-focused festival to life across our city on Saturday 6th June.
