Today, we were so lucky to have Cork City Fire Brigade call to see us! The firemen let every child into the cab of the truck, radio to the control room to say hi and use the hoses to knock water bottles off a traffic cone. What great fun it was! We also did our June fire drill π
Thanks to the twins dad and uncle for arranging it all! πππππ§―π§―π§―π§―π₯π₯π₯π§βππ§βπ

Our book this month is βThe Tiger who came to teaβ by Judith Kerr. The children drew drawings for the tiger asking him would he call to see us at preschool π₯°π― We were very surprised and happy when he called to see us! The children were delighted and all had their photo taken with him, they gave him a high five when he was leaving. Just like the story, we had cupcakes he brought and we ate them all in one big mouthful π

This morning we drew around the children to create their own silhouettes. The children drew in their eyes, nose and mouth. It supports their sense of self and their belonging in their environment. This is a lovely keepsake for parents too. The children had great fun doing this activity with usπ
