Leadership growth rarely starts with a new title.
It starts when the old ways of leading no longer meet the complexity in front of you. More ambiguity. More responsibility. More people looking to you for clarity.
The best leaders keep evolving their mindset, their judgement and their impact. Because leadership is not a fixed capability. It's a practice.

The cybersecurity leadership gap is hiding in plain sight.
Organisations are investing in cyber capability, but too often, technical experts are promoted into leadership roles without the skills to lead people through pressure, complexity and change.
Technical excellence may get them the role. Leadership capability determines whether they succeed in it.
The Leading in Cybersecurity programme helps cybersecurity professionals build the communication, influence and people management skills needed to lead high-performing teams.
Starts September 30 at IMI Campus, Dublin.
Funding subsidy is available through Technology Ireland ICT Skillnet.

The session will offer practical insight into how leaders can strengthen their development, lead more effectively, and stay relevant as work continues to change.

Change fatigue is not the problem. Bad change leadership is.
People don’t resist change because they’re difficult. They resist confusion, weak communication, shifting priorities, and decisions they can’t make sense of.
The real challenge for leaders is not announcing change. It’s making it credible, human, and impossible to ignore.
IMI’s Change Management Short Programme helps leaders move beyond rollout plans and build the capability to align people, manage resistance, and make change stick: https://lnkd.in/dU_3iHcW
Is your organisation managing change, or just announcing it?

The move into leadership is rarely just a promotion. It's a shift from solving problems yourself to creating the conditions for others to solve them well.
Since 2019, Tech Industry Alliance Skillnet has partnered with the IMI to support emerging leaders in the tech sector in the South West, with Annette Coburn describing the programme’s tailored curriculum, in-company experimentation, mentoring and networking opportunities as “an empowering experience for participants and their organisations.”
The Emerging Tech Leaders Programme begins on 9 September 2026 at UCC Centre for Executive Education, Cork, with subsidised places available through Tech Industry Alliance Skillnet, reducing the fee from €4,000 to €1,500 for eligible participants.
Because the future of tech needs more than technical expertise. It needs people who can turn that expertise into leadership. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/dYf7NXMr
