Breakthrough Maths

Before your child spends the summer worrying about that LC Maths exam...

Read this.

Every year, students think:

"That's it. I won't get my course now."

But that's not always true.

Many students don't realise that some colleges offer Second Chance Maths Exams.

So even if you get the points for your course but fall short of the Maths requirement, there may still be another opportunity available.

The key thing is this:

You MUST wait for your Leaving Cert results first.

But if maths is the only thing preventing you from getting into your chosen course, don't assume the door is closed.

Get your child to contact the college.

- Ask about Second Chance Maths Exams.

- Ask about alternative pathways.

- Ask what options exist.

And remember...

The exam probably wasn't as bad as it feels right now.

What a legend this man is.

Had great craic meeting GAA President Jarlath Burns over the weekend in Manchester. Ironically, his wife is actually a maths teacher.

Had a great chat with him and it was great to see him give some time to the kids out on the pitch too. A true gentleman.

What an incredible year.

I just want to give a massive thank you to everyone who joined a class, watched a video, came to a masterclass, sent a text looking for adivce.

Getting to do this every day is not something I take for granted.

Before I get too emotional, it’s time to focus on next year.

We have a lot big plans in the works to become the world’s best maths class.

For now, enjoy the summer and thank you again for helping make this such a brilliant year.

I hope everyone has recovered from Paper 1 on Friday.
