In the lead-up to our Understanding Pain event later this month, we’re hosting the final session in our pain-focused, Members’ Webinar series on Thursday 18th June.

We’re pleased to welcome Kevin Prunty, for this session titled ‘Pain on Purpose’. An experienced therapist himself, Kevin is also a key member of the Educational Committee at the National Training Centre, Ireland (Directed by John Sharkey) and Course Leader on their Higher Diploma in Neuromuscular Therapy.

Kevin’s presentation will explore a different perspective on pain and discomfort within both manual therapy and martial arts practice. Rather than viewing pain purely as something negative to be avoided, the session examines how controlled, appropriate discomfort can sometimes act as valuable feedback; helping practitioners better understand tissue engagement, body mechanics, technical accuracy, and individual tolerance.
