We had a lovely day today - we joined the launch of the Wonder Wander Trail in Mountjoy Square at 11a.m. There were some really interesting displays. We then boarded a bus tour of the Docklands, which was fascinating - a great opportunity to learn about another area in our locality!

It’s shaping up to be a very exciting week at Dublin Adult Learning Centre!

This week, learners and staff will be taking part in a fascinating Bus Tour of Dublin Docklands, exploring the rich history, heritage, and ongoing transformation of one of the city’s most dynamic areas.

On Wednesday, we are delighted to celebrate the launch of the Wonder Wander Trail in Mountjoy Square Park – an exciting new initiative that encourages people to discover local stories, history, nature, and creativity while enjoying our local public spaces. If you're in the Mountjoy Square area on Wednesday morning this is well worth a visit. There's lots of activities planned for the launch!

We are also thrilled to welcome our incoming CEO, Catherine Twomey, who joins us from Tuesday onwards. We look forward to working with Catherine as we continue to grow opportunities for adult learners and strengthen our connections within the community.

With learning, exploration, celebration, and new beginnings all on the agenda, it promises to be a busy and inspiring week. Stay tuned for updates and photos from all our activities!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the Art From The Heart Exhibition on Thursday evening.

There was an amazing energy throughout the building as friends, family, local residents, artists, and supporters came together to celebrate creativity, talent, and community. It was wonderful to see so many people taking the time to view the artwork, chat with our artists, and share in such a positive and welcoming atmosphere.

As it was Mary Maher's last time to speak at our Art Exhibition, she was presented with a lovely painting of the Centre by Derek Nibbs.

Huge thanks also to Róisín Murphy for launching the exhibition.

We are incredibly proud of all the artists who exhibited their work and grateful to everyone who came along and made the evening such a special occasion.

Thank you for supporting local art and helping to make Art From The Heart such a memorable event. We hope you enjoy these photos from a fantastic night!

The buzz you created added so much to the event, and we truly appreciate the time and effort you put into making the Showcase such a success.

Thank you for being part of it - we look forward to working together again in the future!
