The Children's House, Thornhill was established in 1952 by Veronica Ryan, having first started a class in her own family home with six pupils two years earlier. She trained as a Montessori teacher at Sion Hill in Blackrock, Dublin, and as interest in the Montessori approach spread she decided to build her own school. We were delighted to see such a wonderful international response to Principal Micaela Kuhโs recent online workshop for Montessori Institute Prague โMaking Cosmic Education Work in Your Classrooms.โ
The session explored:
๐ How to keep Cosmic Education at the heart of elementary Montessori work
๐ How it is reflected in the way children work, think, and connect ideas
๐ Practical ways to bring it back into daily classroom practice
An incredible number of Montessori educators joined from 22 countries: Bulgaria, Canada, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Estonia, Spain, France, the United Kingdom, Greece, Israel, India, Italy, Lithuania, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Portugal, Romania, Sweden, Slovakia, San Marino, the United States, and Uruguay ๐

Following their attendance at the 30th AMI International Montessori Congress in Mรฉrida, Mexico, Ms Maria and Principal Micaela Kuh will be hosting a special online event to share highlights, insights, and inspiration from this world-renowned gathering of Montessori educators.
This is a wonderful opportunity for parents and members of our community to:

Standing room only for our Summer Concert. What a great day yesterday for our End of Year Party and Graduation! All the graduates spoke so well, confident and enthusiastic about their time at TCHP! Itโs been amazing having them as part of the school and, like our returning guests yesterday, we look forward to seeing you at our concerts/parties next year! The future is bright for the Great 8.
