๐ก๏ธ๐ PRAISE: Preventing Radicalisation in Schools Through Education ๐๐ก๏ธ
Young people face many challenges in todayโs world, including misinformation, exclusion, polarisation and exposure to extremist narratives. Schools play a vital role in helping students develop the skills needed to think critically, build resilience and become active, responsible citizens.
The PRAISE Project (Preventing Radicalisation within European School Education) brought together schools and organisations from across Europe to create innovative tools and resources that help prevent radicalisation among young people aged 13โ17. Through training materials, a digital learning platform, an educational board game and a practical toolkit for teachers, the project supports schools in creating safer, more inclusive learning environments.
โ
Promoting critical thinking
โ
Strengthening social inclusion
โ
Building resilience against extremism
โ
Supporting teachers and educators
โ
Encouraging active citizenship
At I&F Education, we are proud to have contributed to this important European initiative and to support schools in fostering democratic values, respect and understanding among young people.

๐ด Do you ever feel tired, stressed, or overwhelmed... even after a good night's sleep?
The truth is that sleep and rest are not the same thing. Many young people experience burnout, anxiety, and low energy because they are missing one or more of the 7 Types of Rest that help us recharge physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, creatively, spiritually, and sensorially.
Through the REST7 Project, we are helping young people understand their rest habits, identify areas where they may be experiencing a "rest deficit," and develop practical strategies to improve their overall wellbeing. The project has developed:
โ
An online self-assessment tool
โ
A handbook on the 7 Types of Rest
โ
A toolbox and training system for youth workers
โ
Expert video interviews and practical resources
๐ก Take a few minutes to reflect on your own rest habits and discover which type of rest you may need most.

Happy World Refugee Week!
At Youth Work Ireland, we are committed to ensuring that all young people have access to quality youth work in their local communities.
Through our Youth Work For All: Advancing Inclusive Integration initiative, we are working to strengthen inclusion, promote participation, and foster a sense of belonging for some of the most marginalised young people in Ireland, including young people from refugee backgrounds.
Youth work has the power to build connections, create opportunities, and ensure every young person feels valued, supported, and included. Together, we can create communities where everyone belongs.

๐จ E-ART: Where Creativity Meets Sustainability
The E-ART project explores how art can become a powerful driver for environmental awareness, climate action and more sustainable creative practices.
Sustainability is now part of almost every aspect of our daily lives โ and the cultural and creative sectors have an important role to play. Through E-ART, artists are encouraged to develop green skills, use sustainable materials, reduce their environmental impact, and inspire wider communities through their creative work.
The project recognises the unique power of art to communicate complex environmental issues in an accessible and emotional way. By combining creativity, education and sustainability, E-ART supports artists and cultural professionals to become advocates for greener practices.
The project focuses on:
โ
Green skills for artists
โ
Sustainable materials in art
โ
Environmental awareness and climate protection
โ
New opportunities for artists and creative professionals
โ
A green curriculum with innovative training methods
At I&F Education, we are proud to be part of a European partnership that promotes sustainability, creativity and positive change through art.

Our 2025 Annual Report has been published!
Last year, Lรฉargas supported 454 projects, awarded over โฌ35.8 million in funding and supported more than 15,000 forecasted participants across Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps.
Nearly half of these forecasted participants are people with fewer opportunities, reflecting our continued commitment to inclusion and increasing access to international learning and exchange.
2025 also saw the launch of PEACEPLUS-ASPIRE. In its first year, the programme reached over 482 school and pre-school settings, engaging children and young people from diverse cultural, religious and socioeconomic backgrounds across Northern Ireland and the border counties.
As we mark 40 years of Lรฉargas, weโre reflecting on the people and the partnerships that make this work possible. Thank you to our staff, our board and the many youth workers, educators, volunteers, and organisations we work alongside. We look forward to building on our impact in 2026.
