Still processing a very memorable afternoon. 🥂 Deciding to pivot into journalism in my 30s felt a lot like starting my barista training business in my 20s—a bit like jumping out of a plane and trying to build the parachute on the way down.
But it turns out, listening to that 17-year-old girl who read The Good Women of China by Xinran and secretly wanted to tell real-life stories was a great choice. 🥰✨
Receiving a Certificate of Merit from the Law Society of Ireland is a sweet and dreamy milestone. 📜🙏🎉
I owe a huge chunk of this to (hugeeeee appreciation to Lo and Sam!). Contributing to an independent newspaper has been an incredible journey, and I wouldn’t be holding this certificate without their unwavering support.
What a ride. 🙌☀️

Fuel your mind, not just your cup ☕️📖🥰

We’ve officially launched a free book-swap space here at our barista school. Our goal is simple: to promote the magic of reading and create a space where big ideas can be shared as easily as a shot of espresso.

Books have been a pivot point in my own life. During the pandemic, I spent hours diving into philosophy, and it completely shifted my perspective. My journey started with the Hermetic wisdom of The Kybalion, which led me into the life-changing insights of Epictetus and Seneca.

We’ve stocked our shelves with some heavy hitters to get us started, including:

• The Courage to Be Disliked – Ichiro Kishimi & Fumitake Koga
• Of Human Freedom – Epictetus
• The Ramayana – Valmiki
• The Daily Stoic – Ryan Holiday
• Letters from a Stoic – Seneca
• 50 Philosophy Ideas You Really Need to Know: Ben Dupre
• Yes to Life: In Spite of Everything – Viktor Frankl

It’s a community library! Feel free to take a book that speaks to you, leave a book that changed your life, or simply stop by to share a recommendation.
We hope this is the starting point for some incredible conversations. Let’s grow together, one chapter at a time! 🙏☀️

Hey hey, I just wanted to share how fantastic the team-building activities were this week! We had an absolute blast having their team with us. It’s usually the other way around, with customers reviewing service providers, but I can’t help giving their team a solid five stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. They were so kind, polite, and incredibly friendly throughout the entire event. A real pleasure to work with! Cheers to a great experience! 🐝🥰

What a whirlwind of a month! It’s been a non-stop stretch of barista courses, organising latte art session led by our former student and now teacher Luiz, hosting a private workshop for Egali students, and giving Food Safety training. ☕️✨
Beyond the training room, I’ve been deep in investigation for a report published in the Dublin Inquirer—a project I was incredibly excited to work on. 📰🔍 And of course, I’ve been carving out plenty of quality time with my favourite furry friends to keep me grounded. 🐱❤️
I can’t believe we’re already halfway through February. Time really does fly when you’re doing what you love! 🙏💫 Journalism WorkLifeBalance

🌹💖 Happy Valentine’s Day, lovely people! 💘

We couldn’t think of a better way to mark National Latte Day than by highlighting the evolution of a true artist . Our former student didn’t just master the pour—he took his skills to the biggest stage in the country, placing 3rd in the Irish National Latte Art Championship! 🥉🏆
But the story doesn’t end with a trophy.
Today, he has come home to where it all started. He is now a Latte Art Instructor here, stepping into the role of mentor to help our current students sharpen their skills, perfect their micro-foam, and pour with the same championship-level precision. 🎨🥛
Seeing our graduates return to inspire the next generation of baristas is why we do what we do. From learning the basics to teaching the masters—this is what passion looks like.
Inspired to pour your own masterpiece? DM us to join our next workshop and learn from the best! 📩 LatteArtTeacher
