Very sad news of the passing of Eddie McDonnell, who taught science, physics and chemistry in St Paul’s for many years. Such a kind and very funny man, who was known for brewing his coffee on the bunsen burner back in the day 😜. He was also also a very talented photographer who captured so many of the St Paul’s events over the years, and taught photography to the transition year students.
Our deepest sympathy to his partner Ann and his sons Dara and Eoin. May Eddie rest in peace.

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Ms. Geraldine Watters, a deeply valued colleague and former teachers of Maths, Science and Biology, Learning Support and later as Coordinator of Transition Year and SEN at St Paul’s Secondary School. Ms Watters retired in 2022, leaving behind a lasting legacy within our school community.
Over many years, she made an exceptional contribution to students most notably as coordinator of TY and SEN. Ms Watters strove to ensure that our students had every opportunity to develop their potential and discover their strengths. Ms Watters dedication to young people, her commitment to inclusive education, and her tireless work in creating opportunities for all learners will remain a lasting part of our school community.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Ger’s family at this difficult time. May she rest in peace.
