Delighted to be selected as Sing Ireland Conductor in Training for our Irish Youth Choir's this summer! Looking forward to supporting and learning lots from Conductors Lynsey Callaghan and Patrick Barrett 🎵☘️
🎶Conductor in Training 2026 🎶
We are delighted to introduce Ciara Murphy as our Conductor in Training for this year's Summer Courses with the Irish Youth Choirs. ☘️
Ciara Murphy is a conductor and music educator from Sligo with a passion for inspiring young musicians through ensemble music-making. Associate Conductor with the UCD School of Music, she has worked across choral, orchestral and community music settings, conducting ensembles including UCD Symphony Orchestra, UCD Philharmonic Choir, Trinity Singers, Trinity Orchestra, Sligo Orpheus Choir and the North West Cross-Border Concert Band.
Alongside her conducting work, Ciara delivers music education projects with Music Generation and the National Concert Hall and serves as Chair of the Youth Committee of the European Choral Association. A recipient of the Most Promising Conductor award at the City of Derry International Choir Festival in 2024, Conducting Fellow with the National Youth Orchestra of Ireland 2026 under Maestro Killian Farrell and winner of the 2026 Feis Ceoil Orchestral Conducting Competition with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, she is delighted to join and support Sing Ireland’s Irish Youth Choirs as Conductor in Training for 2026.
