Many of these calls are coming from families with young children; in fact 65% of calls this year have come from parents with young families who requesting help to pay for food, heating, mortgage payments or other basic necessities. We are a relatively small society on campus but are looking to expand and grow and help those less well off in Galway. We organise various fundraising activities throughout the year and also arrange visits to the St. Francis nursing home once a week. All of the money we raise goes to families in need around Galway City. Everyone is welcome! Or if you see us around campus, please support!
