Freedom comes at a cost that we often find too expensive - what will my life look like if I let go of this habit that I know isn't healthy or this friendship that's imbalanced. Is it not easier to just compromise and hold on to what we know? Jesus promises that when we trust and surrender to Him - He will set us free from the constraints of life's holds. When He sets out to do a work in us, He will accomplish it. So, with confidence and hope, remind yourself today - if the Son sets you free, you are TRULY free!

If everything really was meaningless, why would injustice bother us so deeply?
C.S. Lewis reminds us: the very fact that we know something’s wrong hints at a deeper truth: that there is a right. A good. A God who defines both and has put that innate sense within us.

You may find that students come to you and ask you for your help and guidance and that’s because, as a Religious Education teacher, you have gained a lot of wisdom and insight over the years. Thank you for giving out so much wisdom to those teenagers who need it. Thank you for caring enough to keep seeking out wisdom for yourself so that you continue to grow. The book of Proverbs is packed full of wisdom - next time you need fresh insight, why not head over to Proverbs and sit under that Godly wisdom 🙏

“Comparison is the thief of joy.” I’m not sure who said it first, but it’s true. Whether online or in person, it’s easy to see someone’s strengths (maybe their witty nature or refined organisational skills) and feel we fall short. But the truth is, we have our own innate gifts and sharpened skill-sets. Someone else’s light doesn’t dim your own.

Is it possible to experience and display joy despite your circumstances?
The Bible says that “the joy of the Lord is your strength” - but what does that mean for Christians?
It’s not a plastic, pretend state of positivity - it’s a trust that no matter what we experience in life, we know that God is present and cares so deeply about us. It’s within that truth, Christians can experience and display joy.
“Rejoice always, I tell you again - rejoice” Philippians 4:4

You were born on purpose, for a purpose. Your life has meaning and significance. You matter so much to so many.
If for some reason you’ve forgotten that, ask yourself - what do I value? Where your treasure is, that’s where you’ll find your heart - that’s where you’ll find something to live for 💞
