What if drawing used thread instead of pencils?
Needle. Thread. Paper. Thought.๐งต
In the Threaded Thoughts Workshop at Indus Design School, students explored an unconventional approach to drawing using needle and thread on paper.
Starting with simple punctures and guided patterns, the process slowly evolved into rhythmic stitches, abstract compositions, and tactile artworks. What began as dots and lines turned into thoughtful explorations of pattern, repetition, negative space, and material sensitivity.
The workshop encouraged students to slow down, think through making, and translate their ideas into stitched marks.
Swipe through to see the process, experimentation, and final stitched outcomes created during the session.
