Day 6 of Toys R Us Summer Camp and our campers walked in like they owned the place — because honestly, they do.
The week began the way all the best things do — with music filling every corner and movement that shook the Monday morning right off. Singing, swaying, stomping — the room was alive before the day had barely begun.
Then came tag — squealing, running, the delicious chaos of a good chase.
We gathered close for a Toy Story Storytime that had everyone leaning in, eyes wide, completely gone into the world of Woody, Buzz, and the friends who never give up on each other.
Our little scientists then stepped back into the lab for another round of space science experiments — questioning, predicting, watching in wide-eyed wonder as the universe revealed a few more of its secrets.
Faces full of character, full of story — Toy Story face cards had everyone seeing themselves as the hero of their own adventure.
And then — the magic.
The Mystery Toy Box made its appearance, and just like that, the room held its breath. What's inside? Reach in. Feel it. Guess. A moment of pure sensory wonder, pure presence, pure childhood.
Monday blues? Not a chance. Not here. Not ever.
Day 6 — and the magic is only just warming up.

Summer Camp – Day 3
Today’s highlight was helping children discover an important lesson: nothing is truly waste until we waste its potential!
Our young creators explored the exciting world of Trash to Treasure, where everyday discarded materials were transformed into imaginative new toys. Children carefully selected items from a collection of recyclable materials and independently decided what they could create. From boxes and bottle caps to tubes and paper scraps, every child saw possibilities where others might see waste.
This activity was about much more than making toys. It encouraged children to:
-Think creatively and find new uses for everyday objects
-Develop problem-solving and decision-making skills
-Build independence by choosing, planning and creating on their own
-Strengthen confidence in their ideas and abilities
-Begin understanding the importance of reusing and caring for our environment
Our storytelling session captured everyone's attention as children listened, imagined, predicted, and connected with the characters and events in the story.
The day was filled with creativity, curiosity and discovery as children learned that with a little imagination, even the simplest materials can become something extraordinary. What a wonderful reminder that great ideas often begin with seeing possibilities where others see none!

Day 2 of Toys R Us Summer Camp belonged entirely to the artists, the dreamers and the ones who decided that yes, the walls also needed painting.
The Messy Art House threw open its doors and said: choose your colour, choose your canvas, choose your joy. And they did. Boldly. Freely. Beautifully.
No instructions. No "stay inside the lines." Just little hands, big ideas and the kind of creative freedom that childhood is all about.
Then we gathered close for a story that moved — literally. Our Toy Story and galaxy-themed read-aloud had everyone engrossed-listening, then jumping, stretching, spinning and collecting stars right out of the sky. Arms wide open, imaginations wider.
And because our bodies love to learn just as much as our minds — planet jumps had everyone leaping from world to world, carrying the whole solar system in their little feet.

Building strong foundations for tomorrow — one curious child at a time.
At Doon Toddlers, we believe every child arrives with a unique spark. Our role isn't to mould them into a single shape — it's to meet them exactly where they are and walk alongside them as they grow.
Through play — purposeful, joyful, child-led play — our little ones build language, problem-solving, confidence, and connection. Not because we pushed them to, but because they were ready, safe and inspired to try.

Our little ones arrived in their cosiest pyjamas, armed with pillows, blankies and favourite soft toys for a very special end-of-term celebration — and what a day it was! From decorating sleep masks and crafting dream catchers to snuggling up for a short film, sharing warm nourishing snacks, and losing themselves in free play and group storytelling, every moment was filled with warmth, laughter and big hugs. These weren't just delightful experiences — at Doon Toddlers, they are deeply intentional. Rooted in research on early childhood development, events like our Pajama Party nurture social-emotional bonds, deepen friendships, and create the home-like sense of belonging that allows every child to truly thrive.
