INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY CELEBRATED WITH ENTHUSIASM AT RYAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, AMRITSAR
Under the visionary leadership and supreme guidance of respected Chairman Sir Dr A.F. Pinto and Managing Director Madam Dr Grace Pinto, Ryan International School, Amritsar celebrated International Yoga Day with great zeal and enthusiasm on the theme "Yoga for Healthy Ageing" in collaboration with NCC 9 Punjab Battalion and 11 Punjab Battalion.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome to the dignitaries, NCC officers and students. The event aimed at creating awareness about the significance of yoga in maintaining physical, mental and emotional well-being and promoting a healthy lifestyle for people of all age groups.
The highlight of the programme was an enlightening session conducted by the esteemed Resource Person, Ms Ritu Chaudhary, who emphasized the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life for healthy ageing. Through practical demonstrations and informative interactions, she guided the participants through various yogasanas, breathing techniques and meditation practices that enhance flexibility, improve concentration and promote overall wellness.
Students, NCC cadets and staff members actively participated in the yoga session and performed different asanas with great enthusiasm and discipline. The programme reinforced the message that yoga is not merely a form of exercise but a holistic approach to achieving harmony between the body, mind and spirit.
Addressing the gathering, Ms Ritu encouraged everyone to make yoga an integral part of their daily routine to lead healthier, happier and more balanced lives. The collaboration with NCC further strengthened the spirit of discipline, fitness and national responsibility among the participants.
The event concluded on a positive and inspiring note. Principal Ms Kanchan Malhotra appreciated the efforts of the NCC units, resource person, teachers and students for making the programme a grand success. She highlighted the importance of yoga in today's fast-paced world and encouraged everyone to embrace this ancient practice for lifelong health and well-being.
