Hi everybody!! Course alert! We'll be starting the Specialized Course in Solar Astronomy in the month of January 2013. It'll start on 12th January and will continue to be held on every Saturday and Sunday for about 4-5 weeks. Admissions have started!! Interested people, please join asap! Just 30 seats! There are a lot many things that we still don't know about our closest star.. So its a nice opportunity for all of us to learn about the various known aspects and the approaches towards solving the mysteries of the sun.

The Cosmology Course kicked off to a brilliant start earlier this week. Looking forward to equally superb sessions in the coming weeks!

Hey guys!! Don't miss watching the Transit of Venus tomorrow! You can never see it again in your lifetime.. The transit occurs before sunrise ( sunrise is at 5.54 am) and will take place up to 10.22 am. Just take a small lens and project the image of the sun on a clean white sheet of paper. You can observe Venus transiting across the sun's disk. Please do not look at the sun neither through a lens or any instrument nor directly through your eyes!
