About the speaker :
Mr. Karthik Jannu graduated from RV College of Engineering (ISE Department - 2012), Bangalore, and has over 8 years of rich industry experience .He started his career as a Data Scientist in Mu Sigma and is currently working with Amazon Alexa team.

He recently started his own Edu-Tech initiative called ‘The Art of Data Science’, he aims to help students and professionals understand the industry best practices through innovative learning techniques and mentoring.

'Tis the season of 8th mile, RVCE's biggest celebration.
To give you all a flavour of what's to come, Coding Club is organising a pre event for 8th mile, Amazing Race. Form teams of 2 to navigate your way through college by solving simple coding questions(different for different years) for clues to the next locations.
Tie your shoes! Train you brain! There won't be a thing like this again! Registrations are free, and winners get Amazon gift cards worth ₹3000. Time: 24th January, 3:30pm

India witnessed the first ever India Police Hackathon 2019, organized by Karnataka Police & Central Government partnered proudly by Coding Club, RVCE held at RV College of Engineering. 303 Team applications , 45 selections and 3 winners. 36 hours of non-stop coding from the coding fraternity and brilliant minds from across the country is what it took to make this event a spectacle.

The Coding Club, RVCE was honoured to be a part of it and thank everyone for making it a huge success!

*INDIA POLICE HACKATHON 2019*

*India Police Hackathon 2019* is being organised by Karnataka State Police and *co-hosted by RV College of Engineering, Bengaluru,* on their campus. *IEEE is the Knowledge Partner* providing most of the Mentors and Jury.

India Police Hackathon 2019 is scheduled to be on *16th and 17th of Nov,* a 36 hour Hackathon. It is an *Open Hackathon* with *no registration fee* and online pre selection. Around 25 teams of 3 to 5 each will participate in Hackathon, based on *Online Preselection.*

*THE PROBLEM STATEMENTS ARE:*

*Facial Recognition* - Tracing of missing persons in Police and Official open source databases and Internet (Public Domain).
*MoRTH Data Analytics* - Road accident data analytics. Static / dynamic / diagrammatical representation.
*Unified Communication App* - For complete official communication.
*Centralised Standard Beat Management Solution.*
*Connecting Online presence for OSINT and Investigation.*

Participation is solicited from College Students, IT Industry, Researchers, Police & Govt., Defence and Public Sector.

*CASH PRIZE of Rs.1 Lakh, Rs. 75,000 and Rs. 50,000 for first, second & third winners.*
