Belakoo Trust North Bangalore Hebbal Campus Update
Sunday's class was an exciting one for our students at Hebbal. They experienced the all new Smart Board installed on our campus, enabled by ABB. The day was full of new experiences with the new learning aid in place, which made the session highly interactive and exciting.
The session led by Seema Sharat included lessons on healthy food and the concept of cooking without fire, encouraging both awareness and creativity. We also conducted fun quizzes based on Ramayana, Mahabharata, and general knowledge, which the children participated in enthusiastically.
To make learning more engaging, we played videos with moral takeaways on YouTube and encouraged each child to read Kannada content, helping them build confidence and language skills.
We were thrilled to have Mr. Rakesh Kumar, Lead ABB GISPL CSR join us. He interacted with the children and asked a few general knowledge questions, making the session even more lively.
The day concluded on a happy note, with the children enjoying snacks and milkshakes.
Belakoo Trust thanks the ABB team for bringing this technology to our campuses and we look forward to making greater impact and progress together!

Skills 22 and 23 of our 100 skills program: Yoga and Pranayama.
A late post, but an important one.
On the occassion of Ratha Sapthami - marking of the end of winter and change of season to Spring, and celebration of the Sun God, we conducted a yoga and pranayama session for our students.
We started the session with some uber fun body movement and stretching exercises that had the children in peals of laughter. They then learned the Surya Namaskara - some carefully copying Shridevi Mahadevan, some enthusiastically inventing their own versions, but for all, an important reminder of movement, energy, and renewal of effort.
And then, we sat together to notice something many of us had never paid attention to before: their own breath. With exams around the corner, our children carry a lot - expectations, nervous energy, and the quiet pressure to do well. We learned mindful breathing, grounding and control of focus and attention with some breathwork and pranayama time.
A heartfelt thank you to Shridevi Mahadevan from Navarasa for holding the space so gently and showing them that calm is also something you can practise, alongside fun and laughter.

Last week, we did something small but meaningful across both our campuses in North Bangalore. We took thumb imprints of every single one of our students.
Sharing a little sneak peek from our Hebbal campus, led by seema sharat, where this simple activity turned into a moment of unending giggles, joy, belonging, and quiet pride.
Lots of colored ink, giggles, curious looks, and tiny thumbs held out proudly. Actign as a gentle reminder for us that each one marks a child who is showing up, learning, growing. Each in their own way, at their own pace.
This has been the perfect start to 2026 - with lots of intention, warmth, and a small way to mark our commitment to helping every child make their mark! 💛

Growing Plants and Vegetative Propagation
We had so much fun yesterday learning about the different ways of growing plants and vegetative propogation.
In Part 1 of this skill series, students got their hands dirty big time and loved it. They painted their own pots, mixed and mulched soil and manure and chose their plants - from a variety of fruits, pulses, vegetables and flowering plants!

We've been a little quiet here, but that's because there has been way too much happening across our centers! We are back with some updates through the week for you on all that's been brewing!
Post the resounding success of our fourth edit of Celebrating Our Differences event held on 20th September, 2025, sponsored by Tredence Inc., Belakoo Trust was proud to share participation certificates with all the schools and students. Apart from Bags, T-shirts, and notebooks for students, we also had Bluetooth Speakers for the teachers who joined us at the event.
We also gifted every participating school with learning tablets with the schools that joined us in making the event truly inclusive. We hope the tablets serve well as educational aids for the students, making learning a lot more interactive, fun, immersive, and student centric!
Thank you to the children, teachers, and caregivers who brought their energy, heart, and trust to the stage.
We’re honoured to be walking this journey of inclusion with you.
