Even before our 9th Graders boarded the buses, their journey of learning had already begun.
In their classroom, they had discussed, researched, debated, and role-played the Bhopal Gas Tragedy; asking hard questions about what progress really means, and for whom. By the time they set foot in Madhya Pradesh, they weren't just tourists. They were inquirers, arriving with questions already forming.
Bhopal did not hold them back. The students walked the streets layered with history and stood before the Gas Tragedy Memorial where the gap between policy and people becomes something you feel in your chest, not just understand in your head.
The journey then took them to tribal communities, the wildlife corridors of Panna, the temple trails of Khajuraho, NGOs working in the margins, Policymakers, People whose livelihoods and identities were not data points but living, breathing realities.
Each encounter added a new face to a word they thought they already knew. Development. Complex, unfinished, and shaped at every turn by people, place, and perspective.
They came back with more questions than answers. And that, perhaps, was exactly the point.

Hands in the soil, pulling out radishes for the very first time. Feet tapping to the beat of bhangra. A first-ever ractor ride. Warm langar, seva offered, and the calmness felt at the Golden temple. Bullet marks on the walls of Jallianwala Bagh telling a story. And then the Partition Museum, silenced stories, mid-journey, mid-goodbyes. A game at the Tibetian Children’s Village in Dharamshala and a quiet bow to the resilience of those children.
Our Grade 7s didn't just travel to Amritsar and Dharamshala. They felt it.
Travelling alongside them, our educators saw something change :- students grow quieter in reflection, more compassionate in conversation, and more deliberate in action, acknowledging their priviledge with gratitude and realizing that freedom is not a given — it is earned, it is fragile, and it must be protected.
Some journeys change you in ways you can't explain just yet. This was one of them.

What does it truly mean to care for a city? And who is responsible for the commons we all share?
Students at Neev engaged in a thought-provoking session with V. Ravichandar, Chairman of Feedback Consulting, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Slovenia for Bengaluru, and a leading voice in urban governance, civic engagement, and public policy in India.
Through the session “Who Owns the Commons? Accountability through Community Action,” students explored the complexities of city life, the trade-offs behind urban decision-making, and the role citizens play in shaping the places they live in. Drawing from decades of experience working across government, businesses, and civil society, Mr. Ravichandar encouraged students to move beyond frustration and begin thinking about participation, responsibility, and collective action.
Some key reflections from the session:
• Cities are shaped by trade-offs, not perfect solutions.
• Civic behaviour matters as much as infrastructure.
• Meaningful change begins when individuals move from apathy to participation.
At Neev, learning extends beyond classrooms, into the systems, questions, and communities that shape our everyday lives.

Year-end at Neev is always a moment to pause, to reflect on the year gone by, celebrate what we've built, and plan for what's next.
At 21, we'll admit, we're still a baby in diapers, growing, stumbling, and learning alongside our learners every single day. This year, EY earned its IB certification, we initiated the NEASC CLP, and we're gearing up to introduce IBCP and BTEC, because we believe every child deserves a pathway tailored to who they are, not just what a system expects of them.
And as we head into our next year, the Neev Literature Festival turns 10, a reminder that reading and stories have always been, and will always be, at the heart of who we are. As we look ahead, we're also asking deeper questions of ourselves as educators, who our learners are becoming, and are we truly keeping up?
Are we recognising our responsibilities, being intentional about where we choose to act, staying self-aware, and constantly checking in on the purpose behind everything we do? These are not easy questions. But they are the right ones to ask.
And at Neev, we've never been afraid to sit with them. 21 years in. Many, more to go.

In a world shaped by algorithms, data trails, and digital convenience, how much of our privacy are we willing to trade away?
At Ideas at Neev, students from Grades 8, 9, and 11 engaged in a thought-provoking session with Rahul Matthan on "Rethinking Privacy in the Digital Age"
Exploring the intersections of technology, law, ethics, and democracy, students reflected on how data influences the way we think, what we see online, and the choices we make every day. Through real-world examples and critical discussions, the session encouraged learners to question digital systems, examine the idea of consent, and better understand their role as informed and responsible digital citizens.

🎨 Where Colours Found Their Voice - Drushyotsava 2026
A celebration where imagination met expression, Drushyotsava beautifully showcased the artistic journey of our ICSE students from Grades 6- 9. From the intricate beauty of Notan art, Pointillism, and colour theory explored by Grade 6, to the depth of perspective drawing and the vibrant storytelling of Madhubani art by Grade 7 - every artwork reflected creativity, patience, and skill.
Grade 8 students used the powerful medium of poster making to express ideas with impact, while Grade 9 explored artistic depth through still life, creative compositions, mixed mediums, and detailed bird studies.
Beyond creating art, students learned the essence of collaboration, curation, display aesthetics, and presentation, transforming the exhibition into a true collective experience. Drushyotsava not only celebrated art but also opened new pathways for students to explore diverse styles, techniques, and forms of visual expression. 🌿✨

A Proud Moment for Neev Academy 💐
We are deeply proud to share a story that goes beyond trophies and rankings ; a story of grit, honour, and grace.
Two of our students, Jai and Devangshee, represented Team India at the International Championship for Young Debaters (ICYD) 2026, debating at the Oxford Union — one of the oldest and most celebrated debating societies in the world.
This moment didn’t begin at Oxford. It began at Neev — with long hours of preparation, honest conversations, and the steady, caring guidance of their teacher and mentor, Saai Sasidhar Patri. He didn’t just coach them to win. He coached them to show up with integrity, to argue with honesty, and to carry themselves win or lose with honour.
The journey:
At the national selections, their team topped the tab among 79 teams from across India, finishing 1st overall. After further rounds among the Top 8, they earned their place on the world stage not just as skilled debaters, but as young people who had earned their spot the right way.
At Oxford:
• 54 teams from across the UK, USA, Canada, Thailand, South Korea, Zimbabwe, Malaysia, and more
• Their team finished 3rd overall in the ESL category
• Jai was named the 3rd Best ESL Speaker at the tournament
• All Top 5 ESL Speaker spots went to Indian speakers
They walked into one of the world’s most storied rooms, stood their ground, and walked out with their heads held high not because they won, but because of how they competed. With grit when it was hard. With grace under pressure. And with the honour of representing their school and their country in the truest sense.
Please join us in celebrating Jai, Devangshee, and Saai Sasidhar Patri for everything they have shown us about what it means to truly strive. 🎉
