GIBS organized an HR Conference on DIGITAL WORLD OF HR by HR Club. Session 1: Human Resource Club of Global Institute of Business Studies has organized a Conference under the banner “Digital HR” aimed at spreading the importance of digitalization of Human Resource functions in today’s organizations. Mr Ashok Thammayya, Director – HR, Schneider Electric and Chairman NIPM the key note speaker. Session started at 11:30 AM with a traditional invocation song and light lamping. Dr. K Aparna Rao had given welcome speech and introduced guest to the audience. Technical Session by Mr.Ashok started at 11:45Am. Addressing the crowd Mr. Ashok has explained the evolution of HR and its functions in organizations across different era of Industrial revolution. During his presentation he has highlighted the importance of automation and the need of human touch forever in organizations. He insisted students the need for up skilling and re skilling to remain competitive in the job hunt. He has also explained the future opportunities for HR specialization in the era of digitalized functions and the skills sets required for getting jobs in good companies. Program was winded up with a brief question and answer session for 20 mins.
