Inter-School Debate Competition Held at Baramulla Public School

Baramulla Public School successfully organized an Inter-School Debate Competition, witnessing participation from 13 educational institutions of Baramulla and Sopore. The event provided a platform for young debaters to showcase their public speaking, analytical and argumentative skills.
The programme was graced by *Mr. Sharjeel Abbas Khan, Principal, Girls Higher Secondary School Baramulla, as the Chief Guest. The topics chosen for the debate competition were 1.Is Artificial intelligence helping or harming The students' creativity? 2. The traditional classrooms are obselete and should fully transition to school flipped learning.The competition was adjudicated by a panel of judges from SRM Welkin, Sanctorum Public School and Budding Bloom School.
In the 'For the Motion' category, SRM Welkin Sopore secured 1st position, Muslim Educational Trust (MET) Sopore secured 2nd position, while Baramulla Public School bagged 3rd position.

In the Against the Motion category, SRM Welkin Sopore again secured 1st position, followed by Budding Bloom School Baramulla in 2nd position and Baramulla Public School in 3rd position.

One More Feather in the Crown of BPS.

Baramulla Public School brought laurels to the institution by securing First Position in the Quiz Competition at the STEAM Event organised by St. Joseph's Higher Secondary School, Baramulla. The school also received the Emerging Innovators Award in the Model Exhibition category.
The event featured Debate, Quiz, and Model Exhibition competitions and witnessed participation from ten reputed institutions, including Biscoe School, Mallinson School,Burnhall School, Convent Higher Secondary School Srinagar, and other leading schools of the region.

The achievement reflects the hard work, talent, and dedication of BPS students and their mentors.

A fun-filled day of sports activities for Classes 5th and 6th, where students learned the values of teamwork, discipline, and fair play while enjoying every moment on the field.

Words have the power to inspire, educate, and unite. Our talented students showcased their eloquence, confidence, and love for the Urdu language during the Urdu Speech Competition. Their powerful expressions and thoughtful ideas made the event truly memorable.

Baramulla Public School celebrated World Environment Day on 06 June 2026 under the aegis of its Kashmiri Department. The programme featured speeches, a skit, and an environmental pledge, all presented in the Kashmiri language to promote environmental awareness and linguistic heritage among students.
On the occasion, the Principal addressed the gathering and appreciated the efforts of the Kashmiri Department for organizing the programme in Kashmiri. He encouraged students to adopt environmentally responsible practices and contribute towards a cleaner and greener future.

The Global Youth Leadership Innovation Summit concluded at AIIMS Handwara after a successful two-day event. Students from Baramulla Public School participated actively in different sessions and activities during the summit.
Bringing laurels to the institution, two delegates from BPS secured First Position for their outstanding performance and leadership skills. Among the position holders are, Umi Hania representing Nigeria & Mohammad Zaid representing Argentina.

Taba Khursheed was verbally decleared as best delegate representing Spain.
