Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has announced that regulations for 100% Ethanol (E100) fuel vehicles are now ready. Maruti Suzuki has already launched the E100-compatible WagonR, while Hero MotoCorp has introduced flex-fuel bikes. Toyota, Suzuki, MG and Hyundai are expected to launch E100 vehicles soon.

India is accelerating towards energy independence by reducing crude oil imports and expanding its biofuel ecosystem. Alongside ethanol, the government is also pushing green hydrogen mobility with hydrogen-powered buses and fueling stations.
