D.A.V. School of Business Management (DSBM), Bhubaneswar successfully organized a Faculty Development Programme on “AI-Enabled Transformative Teaching Practices for Commerce and Management Education” on 30 May 2026.

The programme was inaugurated by Prof. D. N. Mishra, Principal, DSBM and featured expert sessions by Prof. D. V. Ramana, eminent academician and educationist; Prof. Banikanta Mishra, Finance and Management expert; and CMA Satya S. Mahasuar, Cost and Management Accountant and AI practitioner. The valedictory session was graced by Prof. Ranjan Kumar Bal, eminent educationist, as the Guest of Honour.

The programme was coordinated by Dr. Adyasha Suvadarshini, Dr. Prarthana Mishra, and Ms. Sonali Pattnaik.

The programme provided a dynamic platform for faculty members to explore innovative pedagogical strategies, experiential learning methodologies, and the effective integration of Artificial Intelligence in Commerce and Management education.

School of Business Management, Bhubaneswar on 17 April 2026. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students who presented insightful perspectives, reflecting critical thinking, confidence, and excellent communication skills, with Pratikshya Puhan securing First Position, Omkar Tripathy securing Second Position, and Geetlagna Patnaik securing Third Position in the competition. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our esteemed experts Dr. Milan Tah and Ms. Richa Mohanty for their valuable insights and for judging the competition with great expertise.

The DSBM Cine Quiz 2026 was successfully conducted with great enthusiasm, showcasing exceptional talent, quick thinking, and cinematic awareness among participants.

U.N. Autonomous College emerged as the Champions, followed by Ravenshaw University as 1st runners up and BIITM as the 2nd runners-up, reflecting a high standard of competition throughout the event.

The School of Accounting, in association with the P.G. Department of Commerce, Utkal University and the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (Bhubaneswar Chapter), successfully organized the Accounting Wizard Test – 2026 at the DSBM Seminar & Activity Hall on 11 March 2026.

The event brought together aspiring commerce students, academicians, and industry experts and featured a written examination, insightful addresses, and an interactive session with the keynote speaker Shri Chittaranjan Mohanty, Ex-Executive Director, JP Morgan Chase & Co. The programme was also graced by Prof. R. K. Bal, Dr. R. K. Swain, and CMA Sarat Kumar Behera, who encouraged the participants with their valuable insights. The event concluded with a Prize Distribution and Felicitation Ceremony, where 10 students were honoured for their outstanding performance, celebrating academic excellence in the field of accounting.

BHAVYATAA – 2026 (Edition 6.0), an Event of Excellence, was successfully organized on 28th February 2026 at DSBM, Bhubaneswar. We were deeply honored by the gracious presence of Shri Rajib Sekhar Sahoo, Chairman, Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Odisha State Council, Dr. Arun Kumar Rath, Chairman, D.A.V. School of Business Management, Dr. K. C. Satapathy, Regional Director, D.A.V. Institutions, Odisha and Dr. D. N. Mishra, Principal, D.A.V. School of Business Management. The evening commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by inspiring addresses from our esteemed dignitaries and a grand prize distribution ceremony recognizing excellence. The cultural segment showcased the richness of India through Odissi, Rajasthani, Punjabi, Sambalpuri, and South Indian dance performances, along with thematic presentations including a powerful skit on “Digital Arrest” and a vibrant Mash-Up on “Unity in Diversity.”

D.A.V. School of Business Management successfully organized Visionpreneur 2026, a dynamic Business Plan Competition. The event provided a vibrant platform for aspiring entrepreneurs to present their business ideas before an esteemed panel of experts Shri. Sitanshu Ranjan Mahapatra, Senior Vice President – Business Development, Oasys Tech Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Bhubaneswar, and Dr. Parimal Kumar, Assistant Professor (Marketing), Birla Global University, Bhubaneswar. Their valuable insights and mentorship greatly enriched the programme.
