Our KG students visited the Madras Crocodile Bank Trust and Centre for Herpetology as part of their recent field trip. They observed different species of crocodiles and other reptiles and learned basic facts about habitats, food habits and conservation. The visit offered a simple outdoor learning experience beyond the classroom, giving students an opportunity to see and understand wildlife in a structured setting.

Some moments stay relevant long after the day has passed. A few colorful frames from our Pongal Kondattam that reflects the warmth, smiles and rhythm of life at JS Global School.

“Thatha thatha thalavetti!” Ever heard of this chant? It’s a playful countryside chant tied to a tiny wildflower fondly called Thalaivetti—also known as Seral Kodi or Mookuthi Poo (botanically, Tridax procumbens). Children pick the flower, pinch it, and with a quick flick or snap of the fingers—the flower head pops off and flies away. A simple act, full of laughter, curiosity, and memories rooted in growing up close to nature.

During a plantation and park maintenance visit in Sholinganallur, maintained by EFI – Environmentalist Foundation of India, our students from JS Global School rediscovered this small joy. Founder introduced them to this childhood game, reminiscing about his own early years, and soon the students were trying it themselves—learning that nature can be playful too. Adding to the moment, a CNN crew was present, capturing EFI’s inspiring work and these beautiful, unscripted connections between children, memory, and the natural world.

JS Global School Students shine at Hearts MUN 2025, the third edition of the Model United Nations conference hosted by Heartfulness International School (Omega Branch), Chennai, was held from August 22 to 24, 2025. The event brought together young delegates from various schools to engage in discussions, debates, and simulations of real-world diplomacy.
